Barcelona Short Stay Apartment
This apartment is in an outstanding location in the city centre. Gran Via is one of the main arteries of Barcelona and it is only at five minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya, the very city centre. This street is also where the modernist quarter, the Eixample, begins, famous for its unique and impressive architecture.
The Apartment
The apartment is on the 3rd floor and has original decorated tile floors throughout. The apartment is very spacious: the lovely living has two leather sofas, TV and DVD, with a great covered porch that allows you to enjoy a beautiful view of this magic city. The dining room has a dining table that fits eight people, also with big windows that provide you the same city view while eating. There are two kitchens, one is an open-plan kitchen and the second one is a very big country-style kitchen equipped with everything you may need, including a dishwasher, a washing/dryer machine, an electric kettle and a toaster.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms; one with a double bed; the second one with three single beds and the third one with two single beds. There is also a play room with TV, Hi-Fi system, X-Box with steering wheel and games included, cards, etc. There are two bathrooms, one with a second washing/dryer machine and a shower and the second one, which is the main bathroom, with a comfortable bath tub for you to relax after the long hours of sight-seeing. The apartment has Wi-Fi connection available for your use at all times. Note that there is air conditioning only in one part of the apartment and that the other rooms are equipped with ceiling fans. In short, this is a fantastic apartment with a central location - ideal for sight-seeing, shopping or business travellers.
The Location
The Eixample is the modernist residential and commercial area which stems upwards and outwards from the Plaza Catalunya, its famous grid system of straight streets designed in the 1860s to accommodate the old city´s swelling population.
The area is generally talked about in terms of its left side (of Paseo de Gracia) and right side. Gaudi´s iconic Sagrada Familia church sits on the right side. The Fundacio Antoni Tapies, whose pioneering Islamic-inspired building was designed by famous Modernist Catalan architect Domenech i Montaner, is on the left.
Most of the apartments in the Eixample are within easy walking distance from Paseo de Gracia with its two wonderful modernist period buildings by Antoni Gaudi and other architects.
The Eixample is very well connected, and from here you can easily walk or take buses or taxis to the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas for attractions such as the Picasso museum and the Cathedral.
There are endless restaurants and street cafes to relax in throughout the area, which is full of stunning modernist buildings adorned with intricate stone and iron facades. This is where the rich and famous have traditionally lived and it is still a popular upmarket residential and business area.
Public transport
Metro stations for the paseo de Gracia and left side of Eixample:

- Passeig de Gracia (L3/L4),
- Provença (FGC Trains),
- Urgell (L1),
- a bit further is Villaroel (L1).
For the right side of Eixample:
- Verdaguer (L5),
- Girona (L4)
- Urquinaona (L1/L4).

CHECK-IN/OUT
- Arrivals - between 4pm and 10pm;
- Departures - before 11am.
- Late arrivals fee: 30 euros after 10 PM and 50 euros after 1 AM, to be paid to the person receiving you.
Normally, provisions can be made with the apartment manager to look after luggage during the hours between, but the apartment should be vacated to allow for cleaning. All agreements in relation to this should be discussed directly with the apartment manager.
