The Apartment

In the bright living you will find a comfortable sofabed to suit a total of four guests when folded out. Lounge in front of a large flatscreen television or have a cosy breakfast at the wooden dining table. The open plan kitchen is modern and finished to a high standard, with white kitchen units and a high gloss black kitchen dresser. Equipped with an oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and all kitchen utensils it offers all you need.


The master bedroom, with double bed, is simple yet elegant, decorated in neutral tones. The second bedroom hides only 1 single bed, making it a private bedroom.


If you are looking for the comfort and style of a hotel, but with the convenience of living like a local, then this is for you. Enjoy your stay!


Important Information

Because the apartment is situated on the 2nd floor and only reachable by fairly steep stairs, it is less suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Location Information

 

The Jordaan is one of the oldest and most charming neighbourhoods of Amsterdam. Originally a working class district, the Jordaan has become one of the most expensive, up scale locations in the Netherlands whilst simultaneously preserving its distinctive character and historical architecture.


Marnixkade largely forms the eastern shore of the northern part of the Singelgracht and was built on a hill which was part of the ramparts. In the second half of the 19th century, the city of Amsterdam under pressure from the huge demand for housing and urban facilities, had to build in these green lands.


Rembrandt spent the last years of his life in the Jordaan on the Rozengracht canal. He was buried in the Westerkerk church, at the corner of Rozengracht and Prinsengracht. Also the Anne Frank House, where Anne Frank went into hiding during WWII is located on the edge of the Jordaan, on the Prinsengracht canal.


Today the Jordaan is home to many art galleries, particularly modern art, and is also dotted with speciality shops and restaurants. Markets are held regularly at Noordmarkt, the Westerstraat, the Lapjesmarkt textile market and Lindengracht.


Although bursting with lovely little shops, cosy restaurants and trendy hotspots, the Jordaan area is also known for its relaxed atmosphere. On sunny days many of its residents will sit on their porch revelling in nature.


Deviate from the common path and get lost in the little alleys where there are many small canals and streets with boutiques, bars and trendy restaurants. Means of transportation are easily available.

Terms and Conditions

 

Cancellation Policy

  • The pre payment is non-refundable at any time, not even in case of force majeure.
  • Bookings cancelled less than 2 weeks before the start of the stay will be charged with 50% of the balance due.
  • Bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before the start of the stay or cancellation without prior notice "no-show";100% of the balance due will be charged.
  • Cancellations must be made by 12 midday CET (Central European Time) on the appropriate day.

The apartment provider reserves the right to cancel or alter the booking if:

  • If the guest(s) are not able to pay the online payment and/or remaining balance upon arrival.
  • If the guest(s) are not able to show their passport, id card or drivers license upon arrival.
  • If the guest(s) are not able to provide a security deposit in form of a valid credit card.
  • The apartment(s) or part of it is closed due to circumstances beyond its control.
  • It prejudices the reputation or causes or might cause in the apartment providers opinion, damage to the apartments and its common areas.
  • The apartment provider becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation or receivership.

The apartment provider will not be liable for any delay, loss, damage or expenses incurred if your booking needs to be altered or cancelled or the apartment provider is unable to perform the contractual obligations as a result of events beyond his reasonable control, which shall include but not be limited to events such as war, civil strife, terrorist activity, labour disputes, natural or man-made disaster, fire, flood, adverse weather conditions or change of local government laws.


In any of these circumstances the apartment provider will refund any payments made in advance, but will have no further liability to the Client.
If the apartment provider receives serious complaints or any disputes arise, he reserves the right to terminate your stay without notice and refunding payments.


Limitation of Liability

The apartment provider shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage that may arise as a consequence of the client's use of the apartment, including without limitation, damages, insurance, losses because of fire, robbery or criminal behaviour.

 

Occupants

Only persons notified to the apartment provider upon arrival may occupy the apartment. You may not re-let/sublet the apartment to any other third party without our prior written approval. The number of persons permitted to occupy the apartment is limited to the number of beds available and this limit may not be exceeded without our prior written approval. The apartment provider reserves the right to refuse admittance to the apartment if this condition is not complied with.

 

Fair Use

You and your party agree to be considerate tenants and to take good care of the apartment(s) and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of your stay. Except in the case of normal wear and tear you are responsible for any damage to the apartment or its contents during your stay, which has occurred due to the negligence, wilful default or irresponsible behaviour on the part of yourself or those occupying the apartment or their guests. Any damage must be reported to the apartment provider, without delay. You and your party also agree not to act in any way that could cause disturbance to the residents in neighbouring properties.

 

Alcohol, Drugs & Tobacco

The use of drugs and abuse of alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises. The use and possession of hard drugs is illegal and anyone suspected of either will be reported to the Police.  In some apartments smoking inside is allowed, this is stated on the website.  It is not allowed to smoke marihuana inside the apartments.
