The Hermitage Museum – a “must visit” place in Amsterdam
The Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam is one of the most appreciated museums in Europe, the host of many exhibitions and art works. Here you can find out about the art nouveau, the pilgrim treasures and other interesting topics, depending on the month you visit. The exhibitions about the Netherlands-Rusia relations and the history of the building Amstelhof are permanent, but there are also some fascinating temporary exhibitions. It has one of the finest collections of french paintings, including masterpieces of Matisse, Derain and Picasso.

The place you want to visit while in Amsterdam, an impressive experience that you will remember and want to come back, the Hermitage Museum is not only an impressive building, but you will be amazed also by what is inside. From March 6th until September 17th the temporary exhibition is ”Matisse to Malevich – Pioneers of Modern Art from the Hermitage”. Most paintings are from the Moscow collections of Morozov and Shchukin and they are for the first time in Netherlands. The next temporary exhibition is between the 18th of September and 18th of March and will impress all the history passionates: “The immortal Alexander the Great-The myth, the reality, his journey, his legacy”.
