The City Council of Barcelona has released a new regulation plan to improve the quality of both tourist apartments and residents’ life.

The new plan aims to ban all illegal renting, therefore guarantee residents’ tranquillity as well as improve the quality of service offered to the thousands of toursits who reserve short stay apartments in Barcelona.

Since the Olympic Games were held in Barcelona, the short stay apartment rental business has been booming and many tourist apartments available on the market used to be rented by private owners with no licence.
