El Retiro is Madrid’s main park, a magnificent place where you can relax and enjoy a walk. The Jardines del Buen Retiro or Parque del Buen Retiro was a private park used only by Spain’s royalty. Now anyone can admire the sculptures, monuments and galleries.

The Retiro Park is the oldest and most beautiful park in Madrid. It gathers more than 15,000 trees but the main attraction is the floral garden. People from all over the world come to admire 4000 roses from 100 different varieties.

In the center of Madrid, close to the Puerta de Alcala and Prado Museum.
When?
The best time to visit the Retiro Park is during the spring or summer, but you ca enjoy its beauty during winter and autumn as well.
